    Childcare Choices:

    Tiggywinkles Pre-School accepts the following Childcare Choices options (subject to eligibility and claim as may be applicable):

    • Targeted 2year old education and childcare funding
    • Working Parent Entitlement - up to 30 hours (09mths-4yrs) - subject to initial and periodic eligibility test by HMRC
    • Universal Entitlement - 15 hours (3-4yrs)
    • Tax-Free Childcare
    • Childcare Vouchers
    1. Targeted 2 year old education and childcare funding (source: Bracknell Forest Council)
    2. Working Parent Entitlement - up to 30 hours funding for children from 9ths old up to 2yrs old if holding a code from HMRC -  from 1st term after turning 9mths old (source: HMRC) - subject to initial and periodic eligibility test by HMRC
    3. Working Parent Entitlement - up to 30 hours funding for 3-4yr olds if holding a code from HMRC - from 1st term after 3rd birthday, unless already eligible from age 9mths and still eligible (source: HMRC) - subject to initial and periodic eligibility test by HMRC
    4. Universal Entitlement up to 15 hours funding for 3-4yr olds (source: Bracknell Forest Council)
    5. Tax-Free Childcare (source: Childcare Choices by HMRC)
      • Deposit money into the account. For every £8 you pay into this account, the government will pay in £2. You can get up to £500 every 3 months (up to £2,000 a year) for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare. This goes up to £1,000 every 3 months if a child is disabled (up to £4,000 a year).
      • Use the topped-up money to pay your childcare provider through your online account.
      • Reconfirm your eligibility for Tax-Free Childcare every three months. You’ll get a text reminder and it’s easy to do through your online account.
    6. Childcare Vouchers (source: HMRC)
      • Only available if you had joined one of these schemes on or before 4 October 2018


    Please note: where parents wish their child to attend for free early education hours only, these are available 8:30am – 11:30am Monday – Friday. Note: We operate a waiting list, subject to availability, for completely free places.

    Those claiming funding must meet the requirements set out by HMRC and the Local Authority. A “Parent Declaration for the Free Entitlements” form (click on the file or the link above to download the 2025-26 Parent Declaration Form v1.3 FINAL.pdf) - accompanied by copy of birth certificate or passport - must be completed, signed and submitted to Tiggywinkles for processing and approval with the Local Authority.
